Beautiful slavic female lunula Mokosh.Unique pendant made of 925 sterling silver (double sided pendant) with natural garnet.
Lunula is the pagan symbol of moon and femininity. It is a kind of amulet worn by Slavic women in the pre-christian ages, that brings good luck and magical protection.Makosh was among seven most important deities in Slavic pantheon in Rus’ before it was christianised mentioned in the Tale of Bygone Years chronicle. After Christianity she was linked to Paraskeva Pyatnitsa. Makosh is goddess of spinning and fertility linked to Friday. She is a well known deity and common in folk arts in eastern Slavic countries.
